It’s finally Spring! With Easter nearly here and (we hope) all of the snow behind us – we’re looking at one of our busiest times of year at The Schaefer House. The next few months are filled with celebrations and gift giving – graduations, First Communions, Confirmations, Mother’s Day and, of course, weddings and wedding showers!
I’ll be writing more soon about all of these holidays, but weddings are on my mind these days. I was a May bride, which meant lots of April showers. I always tell brides who are registered at the store that being engaged is one of the most exciting times of your life!
I’ve also hosted dozens of bridal showers – for sisters, friends, roommates, cousins, neighbors. There’s nothing I love more than getting a bunch of girls together and fussing over the bride-to-be. It’s a great chance to catch up with friends and hear all of the details for the big day.
But I also know that with everything else going on this time of year, finding the perfect spot to host a bridal shower is difficult. Perhaps you want something different or you don’t have time to get your house “company clean”? No worries – I am giddy about this idea – and I hope you will be too. I’m inviting you to host your bridal shower at The Schaefer House! To say thanks, I’ll provide a hostess gift and give the bride free merchandise!
Here’s how it works: We’ll work together to schedule a 2 hour timeframe (after regular store hours) in the store for your event. You send the invitations and, if you’d like, you can bring in refreshments for your guests. Our store has a refrigerator/freezer, microwave and sink. (Remember, Dan and I used to live upstairs:)
We’ll get the store ready and have displays of items the bride is registered for. Your guests can browse, shop, talk and laugh – and at the end of the night, I’ll give the bride a gift certificate for 10% of the total purchases for the evening! Even if Schaefer House purchases are for you – or are something not off her registry, she still gets the gift!
And, because I love a good hostess gift, I’ll sneak in a little something for the hostess as well. You know it will be great – because it’s from The Schaefer House! If you’re interested, please give me a call.
See you at the Store,
Susie
